BaxEnergy has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Cubico Sustainable Investments.

Until now, Cubico had engaged with different solar monitoring service providers to manage assets across the company’s global portfolio, with sometimes having multiple partnerships in the same territory. This approach was not optimal for consistency and full visibility across portfolios, which led Cubico to make the strategic decision to unify operations under one flexible, scalable solution.

This announcement follows a three-year partnership between BaxEnergy and Cubico’s regional operation in Italy, managing 255MW of wind and solar assets in the country.

The implementation of BaxEnergy’s asset management solutions helped transform how data is managed, cutting operational time by up to 50% and enabling faster, more informed decisions. Firstly, Cubico was able to centralize all the data inflows from their power plants in one place, drastically reducing data losses, enhancing efficiency and improved decision-making process. The time needed to complete various operational tasks was reduced by up to 50%, including the automation of processes such as data integration and calculations.

Through the partnership, BaxEnergy will provide its advanced monitoring, reporting and automation solution to help Cubico optimize the performance of its global portfolio, consisting of 3GW of onshore wind and solar capacity installed across nine markets.

“Moving towards a single provider of asset performance management is an important step for Cubico. Data is critical to our operations, and having a standardised approach to collecting, analysing and reporting it will simplify our workflows and make us more efficient across all of our markets. It will also help us to seamlessly drive forward our ambitious growth plans over the coming years,“ said Fernando Rodriguez Alvarado, senior solar performance analyst at Cubico Sustainable Investments.

“We are excited to partner with BaxEnergy in delivering what will be an important step for our global business. Building on the strong trust we’ve developed through our existing regional collaboration in Italy, we’re confident this partnership will play a significant role in our push to deliver renewable projects that drive the energy transition forward,” he concluded.
