Guru Systems has unveiled its new app-based pay-as-you-go system. It is the first of its kind to incorporate enhanced interoperability, multiple service and billing providers, and unrivalled encryption and security.
Based on its Guru Hub 3 Core, the new system gives residents a simple app-based way to view and manage their heat account and other utilities, while giving operators a flexible, secure platform for metering, billing and payment management.
Unlike other systems on the market, Guru’s new PAYG system offers the ability to interact and operate with multiple utilities and billing systems, meaning clients can choose between metering and billing providers and easily switch between them. This fits Guru’s ethos of providing an open platform and flexibility to clients.
The system is already integrated with apps from two metering and billing providers, Armadillo Analytics and Data Energy, with plans for more integrations in future. It can manage and monitor up to four utility accounts and two external control devices, allowing fairer, clearer billing, reduced data silos and improved consistency between what is measured and billed.
With security a top priority, the Hub 3 Core uses strong wireless encryption, meaning personal data is transmitted in a secure, private and protected manner. For developers, landlords and heat network operators, this supports a more secure approach to resident metering and payment data.
Casey Cole, CEO at Guru Systems, said: “Launching app-based pay-as-you-go is a major step forward for Guru and for the heat network market. Operators increasingly need systems that are interoperable, secure and ready for a more regulated future.
“Our approach is deliberately open. Clients should be able to choose the metering and billing provider that works best for them, rather than being locked into a single service model. By combining pay-as-you-go functionality with interoperability, strong data security and app-based customer access, we’re helping make heat networks easier to operate and simpler for residents to use.
“We’re delighted to launch with Data Energy and Armadillo Analytics apps already integrated, and we look forward to working with more metering and billing providers as the market continues to evolve.”
