Do you want to be a part of the Smart Buildings Show 2025 speaker programme?
The call for papers is now open with the deadline for submissions Friday 16th May.
Smart Buildings Show is the UK’s free to attend, dedicated commercial smart building exhibition and conference.
The 2025 event will be held at ExCeL London on the 15th -16th October 2025.

This year we will have four theatres;
Energy Management Theatre
Operational efficiency and cost reduction have never been more important, making visibility into energy usage and the ability to proactively manage energy essential. The more you know about your energy, the better you can manage it.
The Energy Management Theatre will look at best practice in the sector and give you the ability to make the right decisions for your energy future.
We will be looking at the important role smart buildings will play in helping hit the UKs 2050 net-zero target, plus we will focus on how we can make buildings sustainable in the 21st century.
IT & Digital Infrastructure Theatre
Smart Infrastructure is the result of combining physical infrastructure with digital infrastructure, providing improved information to enable better decision making, faster and cheaper. Without a smart infrastructure there are no smart buildings. This conference stream will highlight the the efficient use of existing infrastructure plus how we build the infrastructure of tomorrow.
IT and software are the keys to unlocking the benefits of a smart building. Being able to understand and use the data that a building produces is vital to producing a cost effective usable workplace.
Management and Proptech Theatre
This theatre will look at how a smart building is managed, including FM, software, security, sector analysis and market information, integration, data analysis and services. We will also look at workplace management and the emerging proptech market.
Proptech is all digital solutions used by real estate professionals and facilities managers to facilitate and streamline processes like selling, buying, property development, and investment.
This theatre will also look at connecting housebuilders with technology companies to produce smarter, energy efficient homes. Third party installers, integrators and resellers will also benefit from discovering this emerging market.
Controls and Network Theatre
This theatre will look at the physical devices in smart buildings including building controls, energy efficiency, BEMS, sensors, shading and lighting.
The theatre will also look at the importance of networks, connectivity, power and cabling.
If you would like to be part of the speaker programme, please send in the following information by Friday 16th May and we will then let you know if you have made the initial selection in the following weeks. Any papers not initially selected will be put on a reserve list. Could you also please indicate which theatre you would like your presentation to be considered for.
For the best chance of being selected we prefer submissions that show best practice, involve the client, partnerships, market information and outlook, plus the latest innovations. We avoid product pitches and ask to see all presentations before the event. If you are interested in hosting a panel session please let me know what the subject matter is and potential panellists. Panel sessions will be allowed a maximum of 5 panellists.
There is no charge for speaker slots with all slots selected at the discretion of the organisers.
